lucky ducks

joseph and I are some very fortunate souls.
we have been blessed by a lot of generous people throughout or relationship,
resulting in some very fun things that cost us no money,

which of course is ALWAYS great.

Here are SOME examples of the great things we have
received from the kindness of others:

My Dad gave us a haircutting kit
as a direct result of this night.....

Twice a year (on our birthdays) we get a free dinner at
Tucanos

My awesome favorite bro-in-law gave me these
JAZZ TICKETS
to surprise joey with the night we got engaged

This couch, was free .99 thanks to the Rivers family,
and also saved from the landfills :)

Our fantastic kitchen table was given to us from
my FAVORITE boss Tory, when i moved from salt lake.
(we have since found some ADORABLE chairs to go with it)

AND............
We even WON a CRUISE
as a direct result of THIS embarrassing moment in my life

like i said, we have been very blessed and feel sooo fortunate
to have such wonderful, giving people in our lives,
and a LITTLE luck :)

and yes, we're keeping our fingers crossed to WIN the

PUBLISHER'S CLEARING HOUSE
SWEEPSTAKES.

wouldn't that be great?

perpetual education fund

THIS JUST IN:

I am going back to school!!!
That's right, i've been out of school a little over a year now, and i
CAN'T WAIT
to be in school again!

in FAll 2009, i was going to school at the U,
and got the dreaded

SWINE FLU

and was forced to make a medical withdraw :(
it was NOT a happy time.

Well, now that my crazy, fantastic, whirlwind of a year is over,
and i am settled into this new fantastic life of mine with Joey,
i think there is no better time to go!

I will be attending Stevens Henager College
("i get a leptop when i enroll, and when i graduate, it's mine!" haha)
Earning my Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration!

I start in a little less than two weeks, and like i said,
I CAN'T WAIT!

wish me luck!

it's beginning to look a LOT like christmas!!

i have been

IMPATIENTLY

waiting for Christmas for the past month now.

I have had the bilk of my shopping done since well before black friday.
(although i did make a super-secret mission at 5 am that day)

now there are only a few days.
and i CAN'T WAIT!!!

I need to upload some pictures but we have been doing fun things.
I will post after Christmas with LOTS of pictures

hanakka is the festival of lights:

this week for family night, Joey and I
invited my mom, dad and
favorite little brother Nater
out with us to go to the

SPANISH FORK

it's a lighting display on a golf course at the mouth
of spanish fork canyon.

baby dinosaur
(there was a cool volcano by this little guy, but it wouldn't flip!)

we then headed over to salem pond for the
floating tree display

it was such a fun night, i love spending time with the fam!

it doesn't hurt having my dad take us to dinner either :)

this has always been one of my favorite things to do around the holidays
if you're interested in going, take the
price/manti exit no. 258
and follow the LIGHTED signs to the mouth of the canyon
CAN'T MISS IT
it's a drive through
and is only $5 bucks a car!
makes for a fun/cheap date too :)
